Presentation & career:
“I am a young perfumer from the Philippines who got his formal training at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery back in 2015. After the training, I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to work on the limited edition fragrance of Filipina celebrity/fashion icon Heart Evangelista together with local artisan perfume brand called Whiff. Since then, the brand collaborated with me to create new fragrances for their range. I also got to collaborate with prominent artisans to create fragrances inspired from their memories.”
Would you like to share your current projects?
“I am currently one of the participants for this year’s edition of Corpo 35. So I am working on the fragrance for the competition” .
How do you imagine your career in 5 years?
“In 5 years, I hope to have more collaborations with brands and more projects. Hopefully, I could also start my own Men’s line of perfumes.”
Concerning the GIP, why did you want to be a part of this adventure? Could you explain the impact of the GIP on your both professional and personal life?
“I had a very nice experience in GIP and gained a lot of knowledge in perfumery. I joined GIP because I am so fond of scents and perfumes that I want to go deeper in my understanding and learning the art of perfume making. The best impact of GIP in my personal life is that I was able to discover that I have a talent for creating scents. Professionally, it has opened doors for me to creat projects and further hone my craft.”
Do you have any advice to the current or future students of the school?
” My advice to the current or future students is to just enjoy the experience! But of course, it is important that you have interest in the field because it involves a lot of work and smelling!”
